There was much excitement when our year 5 & 6 children set off on their annual trip to northern France and thankfully the sun was shining for them.
On route to the Chateau, they made a stop at a Goat farm, where they learnt how to make bread with goats milk. They also had the opportunity to milk the goats themselves.
Day 2 was World War I day, with the children visiting a cemetery, memorial museum and the Menin Gate.
Trudy and Christopher from year 6 had the honour of laying a wreath in memory of all those who lost their lives fighting for us during World War I.
Day 3 was all about snails and marine life, with a visit to the snail farm followed by the Nausicaa Marine Centre. A number of brave children tasted the snails and you can tell by their faces who enjoyed them and who didn’t!
