We are keen to make the children’s lunchtime a pleasurable experience in keeping with the family ethos of Fosse Bank. School lunch is included in the fees.

 

Fosse Bank School

Lunch is a popular social occasion for the children.

Well supervised by our staff, good table manners at the dining table ensure a pleasant experience for all.

Kindergarten, Reception and Years 1 & 2 have their lunch from 12.00pm until 12.30pm. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have their lunch between 12.15pm and 12.40pm.

Each day we offer a selection of homemade dishes, of which one is vegetarian. All menus are carefully balanced and  followed by a choice of homemade desserts. The children choose their lunch from the available selection with help from staff.

The Balanced Food Co are our school caterers and here are some wonderful reasons why their food tastes fabulous……

1. Food is created with a bias to healthy living and nutrition, promoting a holistic and balanced lifestyle.

2.They pack flavour into their dishes using natural ingredients and positively reduce saturated fats, salt and sugar.

3. All their eggs are free range and milk carries the free-range pasture promise mark.

4. They only use fresh sausages with a high meat content and all bacon and chicken is British.

5. They have teamed up with LEAF to support sustainable agriculture, food and farming.

6. Soups are always freshly made every day using quality stocks – no msg.

The business owners have over 65 years of collective experience, working in both hospitality and foodservice at the highest levels including 5 star hotels and Michelin Starred restaurants.

Simon Silvester

Simon is a highly motivated individual with a wealth of operational experience having worked both in the UK and internationally in a wide selection of hospitality and catering environments.

he has worked alongside many of the great chefs of our time including Albert Roux, Marco Pierre White, Gary Rhodes and Raymond Blanc.

Ian Summers

Ian has vast experience in this market. Craft trained as a chef in some of Europe’s finest hotels and restaurants, he has subsequently worked and held senior positions and Directorships in operations, sales and marketing both in the UK and Internationally.

As a chef he has won international awards and in sales and marketing he won national sales awards.

he has worked in some of the world’s finest hotels and restaurants including The Savoy, maxim’s de Paris and the Royal Crescent in Bath.
