During Lockdown

During Lockdown

During this national Lockdown for primary schools, Fosse Bank resumed online learning for Reception to Year 6 and we are proud of our independent and hardworking children.  Currently Kindergarten children and children of essential Keyworkers are in school.

“Well done, I thought all the teachers did really well and I love that we had Zoom sessions all through the day to ensure the kids were engaged in all lessons. PE was particular fun to watch! 😂😂  Y4”

Welcome

Welcome to Fosse Bank.

Children at this school come from Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Kings Hill and many of the picturesque villages in between.

Children can  join the school from the age of two years old and are also able to join older classes as they move into the area.

Being a relatively small school, staff know the children exceptionally well and cater for individual requirements, both academic and pastoral. We delight in having children who are confident and independent and keen to learn.

Staff work with parents right the way through school and as our pupils reach the upper years we ensure the best outcome for each child as they prepare for senior schools.

Intellectual curiosity and hard work will carry children through school and into the world beyond.

Knowing this, our pupils are taught all the usual academic subjects with a strong focus on English and Mathematics. To this we add specialist teaching in French, Music and Physical Education. Outdoor Learning, particularly for younger children, Latin for the older children, and a variety of after school clubs are particular strengths of the school. Fosse Bank pupils are motivated, challenged and stimulated.

Learning can be hard work but the rewards are immeasurable.

First day at Fosse Bank

‘As we reach Hildenborough the number of butterflies in my tummy increases. As we turn in to the school gates, that’s when I see, for the first time, Fosse Bank. The architecture of this majestic building is amazing… When I am picked up I tell everything to Mummy. “Wow,” she says, “That must be a lovely school”’
