Little Fosse Nursery

Little Fosse Nursery

Fosse Bank is delighted to offer our Forest School to two year olds, providing learning through adventure and exploration of our 28 acres of beautiful grounds in Hildenborough between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, incorporating woods, gardens, and a large Yurt, as well as indoor play and rest time in the main school.

Our two year olds are very much part of the whole school and are able to integrate seamlessly from Nursery School into the Kindergarten and the main school. Our offer for two year olds will:

  • provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age
  • work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop
  • add to the life and well-being of the whole school community
  • enable working parents to manage busy lives.

All staff are qualified first aiders and at least one member of staff always on site has a Paediatric First Aid qualification, allowing us to provide this hands-on learning experience in safety and under the watchful eye of our dedicated staff.

Working together for your child

At Fosse Bank we maintain the ratio of adults to children that is set through the National Standards for Day Care. We

  • give time and attention to each child
  • work in small groups and one-to-one as appropriate
  • talk with the children about their interests and activities
  • help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide
  • allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety
  • follow the Early Years learning expectations

We aim to ensure that each child:

  • is in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • is given generous care and attention.
  • has opportunities to join with other children and adults to live, play, work and learn together.
  • is helped to take forward their learning and development by being helped to build on what they already know and can do.
  • has appropriate space in which to learn and play.
  • Is gently prepared for the next stage in their education.
