This term Year 6 have been immersed in their WW2 topic. Part of that was to make an Anderson Shelter, big enough to hold a Lego figure and strong enough to hold a 1kg weight. All of them passed this with flying colours. So, we decided to up the stakes a bit, and see how strong some of them really were.
We started by dropping a bomb (netball) on them to see if they would survive, if they did, we tried standing on them, with very mixed results. Some still were able to hold the weight of their maker. Then the ultimate challenge, Mr Kington’s tractor, surely none of them would survive that??
Well, just watch the video (but you might want to turn down the sound a bit)!
